A Muddy Playdough Recipe
3 ½ cups Flour
3 Tbsp. Cream of Tartar
½ cup Salt
3 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. Vegetable Oil
2 cups Boiling Water
How to make Muddy Playdough
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cream of tartar, salt, 3 tablespoons of oil, and the food coloring.
Add in the boiling water and mix well until all combined.
Add the 1 teaspoon of oil and knead the playdough for 1-2 minutes.
Create Bug Imprints in the Muddy Playdough
Press out small pieces of the dough into rounds and find some toy bugs, nature treasures, and more to press into it!
We love to investigate what bugs or other animals are shaped like by pressing them into play dough. Grab a mini magnifying glass to really make this bug investigation fun!
