A Peppa Pig Birthday Party
Are your kids Peppa obsessed like mine are? I admit…I kind of am too. At first I didn’t understand the appeal of the popular Nick Jr. show…until I really watched it…I mean seriously it’s pretty funny. And I also find it kind of endearing when my 4 year old asks for a ‘plaster’ for his scraped knee or tells me we need to put ‘petrol’ in our car 🙂 Anyway, when I asked my almost 2 year old what kind of birthday party she wanted, princesses or dinosaurs, she promptly responded with ‘Peppa Pig birthday party’. Ok then.
I love kids’ parties. The decorations, the activities, the cake food… for this party I tried to keep it pretty simple. We were planning on having a small party in our backyard so rather than having any real structured activities or games I chose to set up a few sensory bins and play areas so that the kids would have enough to keep them occupied, but also have the ability to just PLAY! If you’ve read any of this blog you might know that I am sensory bin obsessed, and a Peppa Pig birthday party provides plenty of opportunities for themes of fun bins. I chose a couple of themes such as cooking, the beach etc. and then some simple dessert.
