This printable 4th of July bunting is a great way to make some DIY Independence Day decor with kids! We really enjoyed making this for our home, and it turned into a really fun collaborative art project that the family worked on together.
DIY 4th of July Bunting Craft for Kids
Grab the printable below, some markers and string, and get crafting! Crafting with kids helps develop fine motor skills, and coloring is a wonderful way to keep little fingers ready for handwriting.
What you need to make the 4th of July bunting craft:
Printable bunting templates (click to download)
Markers
Scissors
String
Tape

Color all of the bunting pieces. We did this all together and had such a great time chatting and coloring, and are enjoying observing our ‘mural’ at all the various pieces or art we created within the bunting.
Once colored in, cut out each bunting piece, and fold the top section along the dotted line, toward the back side of the bunting.
Fold each piece of bunting over a string or piece of ribbon and secure with a small piece of tape.
Once all of your bunting pieces are attached to the ribbon or string, hang it up in your house to display! What a fun way to make some DIY holiday decor.
