This daily feelings check in printable is great for kids to use to express and verbalize, or write, how they are feelings about their day.

All emotions and feelings are normal. This is what I tell my kids on the daily. However, when dealing with emotions and feelings, it’s important to understand a couple of things.

One, it’s critical for kids to understand and be able to verbalize how they are feeling. Two, it’s important to know what to do with those emotions.

This feelings check-in printable will help parents, caregivers or teachers understand how they children are feeling.

Kids Daily Feelings Check in Printable

This feelings check-in printable is great for understanding how your child is feeling. It might be difficult for your child to express or verbalize (or even understand) how they are feeling. In practicing positive parenting, validating your child’s emotions (despite your feelings about how just they are) is critical.

This printable sheet will help them express through visualizations and prompts how they are feeling.

Using this feelings check in printable during the Covid-19 outbreak

If you are currently dealing with the Covid-19 global pandemic, it’s likely that your children are experiencing emotions about it too.

Their life and routine has likely been disrupted, and in our attempt to shelter them from how scary the situation is, they might not fully grasp or understand what is happening in the world. But, it will very likely affect their emotions and their feelings.

Use this feelings check-in printable as a way to gauge how your child is handling their experience with the global pandemic. Knowing how they are feeling can guide you to helping them in the way that they need.

Remember, during this time, have some patience and grace with yourself and your children. Some extra hugs and cuddles, and less pressure to do anything else will be good for everyone.

This is a feelings check-in printable that is meant to be used year round, during these times, your child might not be in school or spending time with friends. But, these questions are still great to use to see how they are feeling about these times without each of these.

How to use this feelings check in printable

This is a daily check in sheet that you can use. Maybe everyone wants to fill it out at dinner and discuss, or maybe use it as a one-on-one activity before bed. It would also serve as a great printable for your calm down corner!

There are spaces to circle an emoji face for:

  • how do you feel about today?
  • how are things going at school?
  • how are things going at home?
  • how are things going with your friends?

Additionally, there are questions where the child can write or journal their feelings, or simply verbalize their emotions. These include:

  • what was your favorite part of the day?
  • what was your least favorite part of the day?
  • what are you thankful for today?
  • what do you look forward to?
