This fall photo challenge will get kids looking around and appreciating all things Fall. A great lesson in mindfulness, gratitude and even journaling.
Kids love to take pictures. This fall photo challenge is a fun printable that kids can use to take some pictures that represent Fall. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to sneak in some journaling with the pictures too. Add this to your list of fall activities for kids.

Fall Photo Challenge Printable for Kids
When I think of the fall, I think of leaf piles, scarecrows, apples and sweaters. Why not go on a photo scavenger hunt for all of these items plus more!
My kids don’t have their own phones yet, but they love to grab mine on a nature hike for all of their favorite finds. Grab this printable below and head out on a phot0 hunt.
Use your phone or a camera and do what you wish with the photos. We love to use images as a stepping point for journaling. My daughter uses her Instax Mini camera and little photo albums to collect her photos, and loves to write memories about them.
This is such a great lesson in mindfulness, and handwriting practice too! It would also make for a great gratitude activity, as you talk about being thankful for all of the items or activities you document!
Here are my Amazon must-haves for this photo journaling project for school-aged kids:
