This fluffy jello slime recipe uses a base of contact solution, white glue and baking soda, and adds a fluffy component, jello!
There are so many fun slime recipes you can make, but this fluffy jello slime recipe has been one of our favorites yet! The slime is squishy and fluffy and irresistible. We paired this slime with some miniature mythical beasts and it was a fantasy-filled educational activity for my little ones!
Fluffy Jello Slime Recipe
I believe wholeheartedly in the power of play with kids, and have a particular affinity to sensory play. When children engage their senses, they are able to better learn and retain information.
When creating a slime recipe, kids learn about chemical reactions and the scientific process! This recipe came out of one of those “hmm I wonder what would happen if…” moments, when we decided to try adding a box of jello powder to our normal slime recipe.
What you need:
1 cup of white glue
1 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp contact solution
I box of jello powder
fine glitter

How to Make the Jello Slime
In a large bowl, mix the jello powder and the white glue.
To that mixture, add the baking soda and glitter and stir.
Slowly add the contact solution, mixing slowly. The slime should begin to form quickly. If it hasn’t yet turned into slime, add a bit more contact solution.
The more you mix and play with your slime, the better it will form.
TIP! Using a fine glitter instead of a coarse one will keep the glitter mixed in with this slime, making less of a glittery mess when playing.
Stretch and squish like crazy, feeling how fluffy and cool this slime recipe is!
Add your mythical beasts to the slime to play around in. We buried and found them, pretended they were stuck in hot lava, and made them nice pillows to rest their heads in.
So much fun pretend sensory play, and a little lesson in mythical beasts! Learning can be so fun!
