I found these great foam puzzle/building pieces on clearance at Michael’s and figured I could think of some fun activities to do with them!
I love to ‘collect’ items like then when I find them on sale because they can serve so many different purposes! For today’s activity I thought I would challenge Mack to take his puzzle skills to the next level and put one together with paint!
I could have had Mack dip the pieces in paint much like you would a stamp on an ink pad, but I figured allowing him to paint the pieces would work on his fine motor skills as well as allow some creative freedom in his art.
Once he had his first piece printed he had to look for another piece that would match up to it.
Because these were different than regular interlocking puzzles it was a little challenging but he did great! He had a good method of testing the pieces on his paper before painting them so that he could match them up the way he wanted to.
We will definitely be doing this again with a variety of puzzles!
