Busy bags are excellent for quiet time, travel, waiting rooms and more! My number one piece of advice when using busy bags is to keep a stash and rotate them often. This will best ensure that they will in fact keep your littles busy! Want to build up a quick stash? Check out my Etsy shop, or host a busy bag swap with some of your friends! These owl puzzle cards are perfect for a March busy bag when celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Laminate them (I love this one) to keep them durable to that you can use them year after year.

Make your puzzles!
Once you have printed out your puzzle sheets, all you need to do it cut them out! I choose to laminate them and stick them in a zippered pencil pouch so that I can throw them in my diaper bag.
Make it a Game!
My 5 year old loves playing with dice, and what a great (and fun!) way to work on early math skills! We choose to write on the back of the laminated pieces in dry erase markers, assigning each piece a number. We took turns rolling a die, flipping over a corresponding puzzle piece, and adding to a puzzle. When someone completed a puzzle they earned a point!
We also printed off a couple extra, laminated them, and placed magnets on the back. My toddler can play with these on the refrigerator while I make dinner. To play with them in the living room, we use a cookie sheet!
So many fun ways to play! I hope you enjoy your set! How will you play?
