I recall visiting a museum with my family as a child and anticipating being bored out of my mind. They had a scavenger hunt there and my competitive side kicked in, making it one of my favorite trips. I’ve passed this down to my littles and we now take scavenger hunts with is everywhere we go!
We take these when we go on vacations to the beach, or just on a day trip. Grab a clipboard and a couple of pens/markers and have an awesome beach scavenger hunt!

This printable includes items typically found at the beach, but you can add some ‘bonus’ items to find on the back of the printable to customize it for your beach.
We have been using these since my kids were about preschool-aged and unable to read. Therefore, this printable includes only pictures. If you think your kids would end up coloring all over the images, use a highlighter instead, this way you can still see what you are looking for.
You can collect objects in a bag or take pictures of everything you find. We chose to take pictures so we didn’t have more to pack on the way home!
