A Shopkins I Spy Bag for the Surprise a Egg Lover
My kids are full on obsessed with all things ‘surprise eggs‘ and Shopkins. YouTube to my kids is what TGIF was to me; the be all end all for technology and entertainment, only instead of Full House and Step by Step it’s HobbyKidsTV and DCTC. Thanks to the ‘surprise egg’ craze, my house is littered with Shopkins and ANYTHING tiny that comes in a themed bag with a tear strip. I decided it was time to put these little guys to use and make a game out of them! We came up with a Shopkins I Spy bag and it’s been a huge hit. Add to it a laminated sheet with a dry erase marker and I’ve really hit a home run.
To make the Shopkins I Spy bag:
Gather your Shopkins and place them on a surface for a picture. (We picked ones that we had duplicates of) This will be your answer key of sorts.
Fill a ziplock bag with plastic pellets. You can use beads, rice, lentils, etc. Whatever you have on hand will work just fine. I prefer the plastic pellets because they have a nice look and feel to them. Get them here
{affiliate link}. Add your Shopkins to the bag.
Print and laminate (optional) your answer key.
That’s it! You have a Shopkins I Spy bag that your little surprise egg lovers will adore.
If you have chosen to laminate your answer key, your child can mark off the Shopkins that they find as they go. If you don’t have a laminator (buy one here:affiliate link) or contact paper, you can always print off multiples and use a pen or pencil.
And there you have it! A Shopkins I Spy bag to give those lovely little choking hazards a purpose 🙂
**If you are doing this with young children, seal the bag shut with duct tape so that it doesn’t open.
