If I had to create a pie chart of what my distribution of time as a stay-at-home mom feels like, it would look something like this:
You see that large green part?? That would be what ‘feels’ like my time spent cleaning up and de-cluttering. I’m sure this distribution is exaggerated in my mind (I know my time spent asleep is really more than 2%), but it does seem that these other tasks take priority and a large chunk of time. No matter how busy you are, you have to put aside several hours at least every week to take care of your home. The easiest way you can cope with the situation is to create a schedule. You won’t think of the cleaning and the decluttering as a burden any more, as long as you dedicate one hour every day to the dusting, washing and organizing of the whole place.
