Stamped Turkey Towel: Fun Thanksgiving Craft for Toddlers
When my kids were little, making crafts with their handprints or footprints that doubled as gifts was one of my favorites. While process art is certainly my favorite to do with kids, making crafts that can be gifted or used as holiday decor is so much fun.
My kids love to craft items for their grandparents, and take such pride in seeing their creations displayed. This stamped turkey towel is going to grandma’s house to be used at the Thanksgiving gathering for this year, and my 4 year old can’t wait!

What you need to make the stamped turkey towel:
brown acrylic paint (or other Fall colors)
plate or tray
Sharpie
How to make the stamped turkey towel:
Place some acrylic paint on a plate or tray. We chose to stick with brown paint, but you could use a variety of colors for your stamping. You could even try marbling the paint on the tray to make a colorful turkey!
Acrylic paint is not washable but the best type of paint to use on a towel that will need to be washed. So use an apron (or just a diapered baby!) if doing this with small children.
Write a message on the towel such as “Gobble till you wobble”, “Gratitude is the best attitude”, or “Happy Thanksgiving!”.
Children can place the turkey cookie cutter in the tray of paint and get stamping!
I let my 4 year old place the stamps all over the towel wherever he liked. He chose to cover the entire towel and did a great job! I love how independently he was able to complete this project.
These look so cute hanging on the stove, and my son is just thrilled at what he has created. We will be making stamped Christmas towels soon!
Have so much fun making your stamped turkey towel with your own children! They are great for Thanksgiving gifting and decor 🙂
