This reindeer egg carton craft combines two egg carton cups, some paint and some paper to make an adorable reindeer that kids will love.
Egg cartons are a popular choice for craft material for many reasons. They are readily available for most households and using them for crafting is an inexpensive and great way to use recyclables. Reindeer Egg Carton Craft
This reindeer egg carton craft is just adorable, plus, if you give him a red nose he can turn into Rudolph!
What you need for the reindeer egg carton:
- Egg carton
- Popsicle stick
- Googly eyes
- Brown paint
- Paint brush
- Brown and white paper
- Red felt paper
- Scissor
- Marker
How to make the egg carton reindeers:
Paint two egg cartons brown and let them dry.
Cut a popsicle stick in half, and glue to the top of the bottom egg carton. Then, attach the top egg carton the popsicle stick facing forward, as shown in the photo below.
Cut ears and antlers out of the brown paper and attach to the sides of the top egg carton. Then, add google eyes. Hot glue is the easiest method for attaching these, however, white glue will work as well but will take longer to dry.
Cut a red circle from the red felt paper then attach it to the egg carton just below the eyes. Alternatively, opt for a red or black pom-pom as a nose as well.
Lastly, cut an oblong shape from a white paper then cut it into half then attach it to the egg carton.
What an adorable little reindeer. It would make a fun DIY toy for children, or a great addition to a Christmas sensory bin!
