Christmas Tree Egg Carton Craft
Crafting with recycled materials is a great way to let kids explore crafting and creating. Kids love making their own toys and decor, and these Christmas tree egg cartons are just adorable and so much fun to make.
What you need to make the Christmas egg cartons:
- Egg carton
- Styro balls
- Green paint
- Paint brush
- Gold glitters
- Scissor
- Popsicle stick
How to make the Christmas trees:
Paint three egg cartons with green paint and let dry. If crafting with young kids, I would use washable paint to create these, however with older children acrylic paint might cover the egg carton cups better.
Add a gold lining to each of the egg cartons with glitter glue, or with glue and loose glitter.
Paint cut popsicle sticks tree to put in between the egg cartons as spacers.
Glue the popsicle sticks to the inside of the cup to act as spacers between the christmas tree layers. These are optional as they will just add some space to make your tree taller, alternatively, you could stack them right on top of each other and use as many layers as your child would like.
Put a yellow pom pom ball at the top of the Christmas tree and add ornaments with mini styrofoam balls.
The egg carton Christmas tree is complete! Children can add any other decorations to their Christmas tree egg carton craft to make it their own.
