As a mom to young kids, the playdate scene can be overwhelming. Whether hosting or attending, you always want to be the perfect host or attendee. We recently had the opportunity to host a #DisneyKids playdate and it was SO.MUCH.FUN! Check out all of the goodies that we received from Mom Select to host this awesome party, and how we used games/activities, decor and food to have a simple #DisneyKids preschool playdate that any busy mom can throw together!

*I received free products in order to host a #DisneyKids Preschool Playdate. The opinions expressed here are my own.

Playdates can be stressful for the busy mom. Here are some really simple ways to host a #DisneyKids playdate you will all love!

The Essentials to a Simple #DisneyKids Playdate

Games and Activities

Because this blog focuses on learning through play and fun hands-on learning, this is probably my favorite part of hosting a playdate. I love to have fun (but simple) activities that the kids can do together. I think this always makes for a memorable component, and usually saves most of the playdate drama from occurring over sharing toys, etc.

For our #DisneyKids playdate, we had a few different things setup. I like to just make stations so that the kids can pick and choose what they want to do which maintains the low-key vibe that I like. Here are some of the activities that we had set up!

Fab Fortune Tellers

These totally brought me back to elementary school, and the kids had a blast with them! My 3 year old perfected the art of ending on Minnie, and was thrilled to see her face, even after about the 20th time 😉

Find the Hidden Mickeys

#DisneyKids playdate 3

We vacation to Disney World every year, and as the kids get older, searching for hidden Mickeys in the park is becoming more and more fun. We replicated this at home by taping some Mickeys around the room and letting the kids hunt for them, marking their score card as they found them.

Make a Sorcerer Mickey Hat

#DisneyKids playdate 6

This is my new favorite party activity! Turn an ordinary party hat into a magical Sorcerer Mickey hat with star stickers! How cute are these?

Character Charades

Acting out some favorite Disney characters was a really fun and simple game for preschoolers. While some of them had a difficult time not making any noise, they loved it nonetheless 😉

Decor

Adding some Disney-themed decorative tableware and a few wall hangings to the scene really helps set the mood for a #DisneyKids playdate (and it doesn’t get much simpler than that!). One of my favorite little tricks for this age is to use cups for just about everything! They house snacks so nicely and eliminate a lot of the mess, and are easy to clean up.

Photo Booth

In addition to the decor on the walls, we created a photo booth with some of our Disney props in our dress up bin. After many vacations to Disney World we’ve developed a little collection 😉 Plus, check out this hack for making a quick and easy (but effective) photo booth wall.

Know what that is? It’s a Disney disposable tablecloth that we taped to the wall! It was the perfect backdrop for our photo  booth!

Food

I mentioned above that activities are my favorite part of a playdate, but I would be lying if I didn’t say that food is right up there. I do like to keep it simple when it comes to food, but by adding just a couple of small touches, you can really step up the playdate food game. Keeping it simple, we had some princess popcorn as a snack, the kids decorated their own mini Mickey pizzas, and then decorated cupcakes for dessert!

Princess Popcorn

This turned out delicious, and pleased my little princess lover.

Ingredients:

Pop Secret Popcorn

White Chocolate Chips

Strawberry Yogurt Covered Raisins

Pearlized Sprinkles

Playdates can be stressful for the busy mom. Here are some really simple ways to host a #DisneyKids playdate you will all love!

To Make:

Microwave the popcorn and place in a bowl. Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds. Drizzle the white chocolate over the popcorn. Add the raisins and sprinkles. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Simple Mini Mickey Pizzas

Playdates can be stressful for the busy mom. Here are some really simple ways to host a #DisneyKids playdate you will all love!

We made this really simple by buying pre-cooked pizza crust and using a Mickey shaped cookie cutter. I pre-cut the pizza crusts with the cookie cutter and set out bowls of sauce, cheese and pepperoni. The kids loved decorating these themselves, and them gobbled them up!

Mickey Cupcakes

I pre-baked the cupcakes for these as well. The kids used different colors of frosting and sprinkles to decorate their own cupcakes, then finished them off with some Mickey cupcake toppers as a final touch.

What a fun #DisneyKids Playdate!

We had way too much fun hosting this #DisneyKids playdate, and can’t wait for the next one! What a great way to get the kids excited about our upcoming summer trip to Disney World. We kept it super simple for this busy momma, but between the activities, decor and the food, we had a blast, and it sure felt like Disney!
