Do you have a mini Lego lover in your house? My son loves to build with Legos, and I like to encourage any kind of play that involves building, creative thinking and problem solving; but I have two major problems with Lego sets (aside from the expense), 1) the little pieces get EVERYWHERE which is not good with a baby around, and 2) I have to store them knowing that once my son has already built a particular set, he will not be building it again any time soon. So… I bring you, my new favorite Lego hack!
So are you ready for my LIFE-CHANGING (for the Leg0-mom) hack for keeping the experience MESS-FREE and keeping those little pieces contained?
A SCRAPBOOK PAPER STORAGE CONTAINER! Get it here! (affiliate link)
Maybe you are rolling your eyes at me thinking “Seriously lady? That was the life-changing lego hack?” But I’m telling you, this box is the perfect size, it has a hinged lid which I love, and it’s shallow which is perfect for digging around in. If you have another solution, I’d love to hear it, I’m all for anything making my life a bit simpler!
My little guy now has ample space to dig around and look for the piece he needs without flinging minuscule Lego pieces across the room.
The container can house his half-built project (safe from smaller, curious hands) until he is ready to complete it.
And, it stores the pieces upon completion of the project for use at a later date. I have a couple of plans for furthering this hack but have yet to add them – but they will include gluing a lego plate to the inside of the lid so that when the container is open, he can build on the other side of the container. Additionally, to laminate the manuals and place the pages into a binder or a folder.
Try it! And let me know what you think about my ‘life-changing’ lego hack 😊

I can find a million things in my house that I could use those containers and that tower for. Great hack!
