Build a lego pumpkin with the lego bin in your home or classroom. Here is a really simple pumpkin lego challenge to print that will show kids exactly how to build one. Plus, sneak in some letter sound and writing practice after building the pumpkin!
Pumpkin Lego Challenge for Kids
We love lego challenges for kids. They are great for sparking creativity while providing kids with prompts of what to build.
If your kids are anything like mine, they like to build legos according to the instructions that come with the kit, and then leave the legos in a pile never to be built with again.
These lego challenges spark the interest in creating something new out of their own legos, and this pumpkin lego challenge is great as a Fall activity for kids or a pumpkin activity for kids.
In addition to the pumpkin lego building, this fall printable template acts as a worksheet to also practice letter sounds and tracing the sight word.
How to Use the Build and Write Lego Template
The template has a picture of a lego pumpkin showing which legos to use, for example one with 4 dots or one with 6, so that the children can follow along with the template to create their own pumpkin.
Children can opt to place bricks right on top of the template to create their pumpkin, or build it directly onto a lego base.
As a challenge for older children, see if they can use the template to build a 3D upright pumpkin, where the legos are place on top of one another instead!
We like to place worksheets like these inside of a dry erase pouch. The children can reference the lego template to build their pumpkin, then use a dry erase marker to write and practice the letter P, then trace the work pumpkin.
