It’s no secret…I LOVE busy bags! They are so fantastic for keeping kiddos busy ANYWHERE. Whether you need to make a phone call (we all know that’s nearly impossible), are waiting at the doctor’s office, or on a road trip or in an airplane, busy bags will be your life saver! We love our popsicle stick busy bag, turkey felt board busy bag and our game day busy bag. This felt rainbow busy bag is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day and the Spring, and it’s SO simple to make.
To Make the Rainbow Busy Bag
As you can see, I made mine without a template, and have a pretty rough cut on the edges. Not that my kids really mind and I think it’s still pretty cute, but if you can’t stand rough cuts, download this template I’ve made for you and create the perfect rainbow 🙂 Simply cut out each shape and trace onto the corresponding felt color. Cut them out and assemble your rainbow!
I added velcro dots to each section so that the kids could have a little extra fun with this busy bag, but it’s definitely not necessary. The felt pieces will kind of stick to one another on their own.
I like to store our busy bags in zippered pencil pouches that easily fit inside of 3-ring binders, but you can also throw them in ziplock bags and inside your purse or diaper bag. This bright rainbow busy bag is sure to brighten your kiddos day!
I currently have a 2 year old who is pretty obsessed with rainbows and unicorns, if you do as well, check out this roundup FULL of rainbow activities and fun!
