A free printable solar system board game that kids will love to play. Learn about the planets and what they look like in a hands-on way!

Isn’t the world we live in an amazing place? This Solar System Board Game is one that you and your child will love to play and explore together.

If you ask me, there is always time for board games. The great part about playing board games with your toddler is that they’ll love the combination of learning and playing with you. It’s no surprise that parents are the #1 influencers in the life of their child. Board games just have a way of combining a bit of learning fun at the same time.

Solar System Board Game

Teaching your little one to reach for the stars has never been easier than with this Solar System Board Game. In fact, they’ll think it’s outta this world! The great part about this board game is that while it helps to teach your toddler about colors and learning, it is also helping to grow and develop their brains as well!

How can board games help with your toddler’s growth?

Board games are unique in the way that they offer a ton of different outcomes that can be positive growth for your child. Did you know that there are board games that can pack in quite a bit of educational material to really help your child grow?

Learning about shapes and colors are just a few of the learning aspects that board games can offer, but there are others as well. Listening skills, analytical thinking, and teamwork are all aspects that your child will learn during board game play.

So many times as parents we tend to not take the time to play with our children because our schedules or time may be busy. Allow the love and bonding over board games to happen. Your child will be giddy over the one on one bonding time that they get with you, and you’ll love that you’re able to see your child learn and grow right before your very eyes.

Board games bring about a passion for play, a commitment for communication and an eye for detail that they may not learn otherwise.

Not only that, but playing a board game with your toddler also teaches them about taking turns and planning ahead. These things that can be learned while playing board games with your toddler are invaluable!

If you’re ready to play a truly fun and engaging board game as a family, everyone will love this Solar System Board Game. You’ll be amazed at how learning and playing together can provide hours of fun!

Once you’ve printed the solar system board game above, cut out the game spinner and assemble. You can choose to place a paperclip on the center of the spinner with a pencil point holding it in place, or use a paper fastener to attach the paperclip to the spinner.

Choose what you will use for game pieces. Coins work well, or other small toys. We like to dig through our sensory bin materials and find small toys that match the theming of our game.

We chose to use a quarter, a penny, and a nickel, and pretend that they were various planets.

Follow the instructions on the game board and play over and over again. What a fun way to celebrate and learn about the solar system.

Have so much fun bonding and learning with your kiddos!
