If your kids have seen the movie Trolls and are anything like mine, they are loving all things Trolls. We listen to the soundtrack in the car, have Trolls dance parties, and are making all kinds of Trolls projects. This simple Troll craft is fun for kids to make, and using a number of different colors and ‘hair’ can make a variety of Trolls! My daughter currently has these up in her dollhouse, and is enjoying hours of pretend play.

To Make Your Troll Craft
What you need:
clothespin dolls
fake fur/feathers
neon paint
paintbrushes
hot glue gun
marker
What to do:
Begin by painting the clothespin the color of the Troll you want to make.
We made Poppy and Branch to start! My kids enjoyed the challenge of painting these clothespins as they rolled around. We did not use washable paint, so if you are using the same type of neon acrylic paint you might want to use a smock (I love these with the long sleeves), and paint on a paper plate.
Hot glue some fur or feathers to the head. You can opt for regular glue if your kids want to do this themselves, but the drying time can be tough, and with the feathers and fur, the hot glue really works much better.
Draw a cute face on your troll craft! We actually have since made a few different ones with various facial expressions, just for acting out different parts of the story! Next we need to work on a Bergen set 😉
That’s it! This troll craft really is SO simple and tons of fun! I have really enjoyed watching my kids play pretend and have fun with these, acting out their favorite scenes. How will you play?
