Playdough mats are great for hands-on learning. Take a concept your child is learning about and explore it further with playdough. This recycling playdough mat is great for children to understand the ‘life cycle’ of recycling paper.

What are Playdough Mats?
Play dough mats are similar to an activity placemat, but are covered so that playdough can be used on the mat without sticking.
They are typically themed so that children can further explore a concept or a topic of interest. They are inviting and kick playdough playtime up a notch!
To use the playdough at, laminate the sheet or place it in a plastic sheet protector. This will allow the children to easily play on the playdough mat and will also allow for future use.
Recycling Playdough Mat
This playdough mat is great when covering a recycling unit, life cycles, or Earth Day! It walks children through the process of planting a tree, using the tree to make paper, and then recycling the paper to use again.
Children can stay true to color, making a brown acorn and tree trunk and white paper out of playdough, or get creative and make colorful items.
For older children, print the playdough mat with all of the information about recycling, they can learn some of the facts about recycling paper.
For preschoolers, print the basic sheet without the extra text. They can also use the playdough to decorate the tree with flowers or place birds in the sky!
