I remember growing up, my siblings and I were so competitive. We loved scavenger hunts because we always turned them into a race to see who could complete it first.

If you have competitive children that would enjoy this, feel free to turn it into a game! If your children aren’t so into competition, choose to complete the scavenger hunt collectively as a family or in teams.

You can take this scavenger hunt on your next walk around the block or on your summer family vacation.

How to complete the scavenger hunt

Get creative with how you complete this! Simply print and mark off with a pen or pencil.

Other options include allowing your child to take pictures of all the items they find on the list, or laminating the scavenger hunt to use a dry erase marker on it.

Take the scavenger hunt out once a week and see if it is easier or more difficult to find some of the items. Maybe in rainy weather it’s more difficult to spot an insect or some birds?
