We love to make homemade games! Craft foam and felt are among my favorite materials to work with. The result is simple and the product is inexpensive. These are great as busy bags, especially when traveling. This foam pumpkin tic-tac-toe DIY game was inspired by a kit that I got at A.C. Moore. The kit had really fun ways to turn the pom pom pieces into spiders! Cute for Halloween!

To Make the Foam Pumpkin Tic Tac Toe DIY Game
This DIY game is SO simple! Check out how to make it below, these large foam pieces can be found for just about any holiday at your local craft store.
What you need:
- large foam pumpkin
- two colors of pom-poms (5 each)
- white craft foam
- permanent markers
- googly eyes
- colored craft foam dots
- velcro dots
- hot glue
What to do:
Draw the game piece on the white craft foam, add some decorate border with permanent marker.
Hot glue the game piece to the center of the pumpkin, and the google eyes and black foam mouth on the top. Additionally, use the hot glue to attach the pom-poms to the craft foam dots.
Using velcro dots, place the hard sides on the edges of the pumpkin (5 on each side) and the soft velcro on the bottom of the craft foam dots.
Now, you’re ready to play! Each player takes a turn placing a pom-pom onto the game board until one player gets tic-tac-toe, three in a row!
The velcro dots make this DIY game great for traveling! We have used it in the car and are bringing it on an upcoming airplane flight for Thanksgiving.
Enjoy your DIY game, and don’t forget to share it with your friends!
