This i-spy busy bag is great for young learners as well as ‘big kids’. Also, because it’s contained in a small bag, it’s the perfect busy bag for on the go. We use busy bags for quiet time at home, long car/airplane rides, and waiting rooms. They are life savers. Plus, these little bugs are too cute!
This I spy busy bag with mini bugs makes an excellent Spring activity for kids.
Make the Bug I-Spy Busy Bag
What You Need:
- mini bugs (we used these for our fine motor bug activity as well)
- pencil pouch
- paper grass
- printable i-spy sheet (download below, optional)
What To Do:
Our pencil pouch had a black mesh covering the plastic so we simply cut it off, making the bag perfect for searching through.
Fill the bag with the paper grass and the bugs and secure closed.
Lay flat and let little fingers go hunting!

Grab the printable by clicking on the page below and printing. You can laminate it for durability, also allowing kids to cross off each item as they find them with a dry erase marker.
Throw it in your purse and take it with you, or add it to your quiet time bin!
Have fun with your i-spy busy bag! Grab some extra mini animals or figurines to swap out the materials and switch up the busy bag. Enjoy!
