Summer Fine Motor Activities for Preschool

Playing with busy bags, engaging in sensory play and using fine motor tools are all great ways to help develop the muscles in little fingers.

What are fine motor skills?

Fine motor skills are the ability to make movements using the small muscles in our hands and wrists. Pinching small items between the fingertips, rolling play dough into a ball, grasping items in the hands are all play based activities that support these skills.

Providing children with engaging material that invites them to touch and manipulate the materials is all you need to do to help boost fine motor skills.
