We love to decorate for the holidays but sometimes, I can’t always find what I’m envisioning at the store. This is why this stamped tea towel Christmas Craft become one of my favorites overnight. It’s a great Christmas craft for 1 and 2 year olds to make. They’ll love being able to help and create and it’s a simple way for their minds and hands to use their imagination as well.
Stamped Tea Towel: Fun Christmas Craft for Toddlers
As kids start to get a bit older, it can be hard to rack your brain about crafts and gifts that little ones can make. What will people actually want to keep and is there anything that you can create that might actually be useful at the same time? We have made various stamped tea towels, and Christmas handprint and footprint art canvases to gift before that we have loved.
The good news is that this Christmas Craft answers “yes” to both of those questions. It’s a fun and creative craft that is reusable each and every year and who doesn’t have a need for a tea towel in their house? We made Thanksgiving stamped towels too with turkey cookie cutters and they were adorable on Thanksgiving Day!

What you need to make the stamped tea towel:
acrylic paint (Christmas colors)
Christmas cookie cutter
plate or tray
Sharpie
How to make the stamped tea towel:
First, you’re going to want to take some of the paint and put in on a plate or tray. You can honestly use any color of paint that you want here but make certain to stick to some fun and festive holiday colors.
Keep in mind that acrylic paint isn’t washable so if little hands are making this, you’re going to need to be careful!
Write something fun on the towel that has some holiday cheer and then let your toddler take the cookie-cutter, dip it in paint, and have a blast decorating the tea towel!
Remember to stay relaxed about it as it’s certain to be a bit messy. Just know that it’s all in good holiday fun and it’s going to make the absolute cutest gift or decor item, ever!
These are washable and look great sitting out on the table or hanging off the oven as decor. And every time your little one sees it, they’ll take pride in knowing that it was something that they made!
